Thin-walled open cross-sections are commonly used in steel storage pallet rack structures. In some cases, sections employed as beam members. These members usually have weld spots along their length order to reduce the distortional deformation under a flexural load. On other hand, typically connected columns by means of claws, which exhibit nonlinear moment - rotation relationship. two characteristic should be taken into account properly reproduce structural response. this paper, Generalised Beam Theory (GBT) is perform geometrical analysis taking and beam-to-column connection behavior account.
